Jewish Children's Library

The Chabad Jewish Center is proud to announce the imminent opening of a new Jewish Children’s Library. The importance of education is self understood. The Jewish people are known as the “People of the Book” and education is the basis of a Jewish identity and tradition. All the more so in regards to our children to whom we wish to impart the proper values which will guide them throughout their life.

It is to help serve this goal that the Jewish Children’s Library is being formed. The library will include books with Jewish values and lessons geared towards preschool children, youth and pre-teens. As part of the many programs we offer, the library will be available to the students of the Chabad Hebrew School as well as to the community at large.

The founding of this library has been inspired by the memories of Mrs. Sadie Hazen (mother of Karen Frankel), of blessed memory and Mrs. Pearl Krinsky (grandmother of Nechami Charytan), of blessed memory, both of whom had a special place in their hearts for education and for children.
We are now in the process of putting together a nucleus of books, with the goal to have a complete shelf available for the coming fall. Please consider participating in this endeavor by choosing one of the options listed below.

Surely the merit of helping educate and inspire our children- the future adults and leaders of our community- will bring much blessing, both material and spiritual, to all those who will take part in this special project, especially in receiving true Jewish Nachas from our children.

Thank you.
